CLASS TEE.

i would certainly wish to settle the class tee/item ASAP. otherwise when it reaches august, its bye bye alr. so to the bar on the right is a poll for yuwei's design. comment abt it and whatever. pls pass message to all whoever who sees this. we would certainly appreciate constructive feedback and not destructive ones. so help her and help us improve the design asap to get the finalised design for the class tee. its time to get your artistic sense moving. draw/scribble/paint/imagine etc. pls do aft your blocks though (: but start thinking now.
to AEP ppl: its time to start doing what your do best! it can be your next whatever artpiece.

Final Class CIP activity

Hi everyone(: sorry for spamming the class blog.. but to those who are involved in our class CIP, thanks for ur enthusiastic participation so far- i think we all enjoyed interacting with the kids right? yupp so our last session tmr alr! hope we are all ready for the challenge of conducting activities for the nursery children and their parents (hope they don't all start crying =S)

Here's the proposed sequence of events, pls read through thoroughly ok? And d'you have any suggestions?

Saturday, 14 June 2008
Sports Day 8.30-1pm
8.15am: Meet at Outram Park MRT station
8.30am: Start set-up/ preparations at YWCA

9-10am: Warm-up Activities for children - Music and movement (30 children)
- Simon Says
- Chicken dance medley
- Hokey Pokey
- Freeze
- Interaction in small groups

10-10.15am: Refreshments
10.15-10.30am: Opening speech by Principal, Mrs Rosalind Linus

10.30-12pm: Games for Playgroup and Nursery children and parents (9+16= 25)
10.30- 11.15: Group games (4 people- the others can go set up their station games)

-Ice breaker- Ball game
Description: Everyone will sit in a circle, and the person holding the ball will have to introduce themselves, then roll the ball to someone else, who will then introduce themselves.

- Pass the parcel (1 referee, 1 person to control the music)
- Hula Hoop assing game (1 or 2 referees)
- 3-Legged relay (1 referee, 2 people to tie the legs for the pairs)

11.15-11.45pm: Station games (2 teams)
Station 1: Ball toss (2 people)
Description: The team divides itself into 2 teams, which line up and take turns to throw the ball into the baskets- different baskets giving different points.

Station 2: Bowling (2 people)
Description: The team will divide itself into 2 teams, which will take turns to roll the ball to the bottles, and will win prizes depending on their combined score.

Station 3: Musical Chairs (modified) (2 people)
Description: The chairs will be arranged in a circle (more chairs than people), and each chair will have a paper pasted on it. Everyone will walk around in a circle while music is played, and when the music stops, each person must sit down on a chair. A colour/ number will be chosen and those chairs will be taken out- if someone is sitting on it they will be out too. The last person remaining wins a prize.

12-1pm: Lunch and clear up(:

Yupp so shall we all wear pe shirt and any bottoms and shoes? (we don't have to take off our shoes) Thanks, see u tmr! (:

Class CIP Session 3

Helloo everyone(:
This is the rough plan for tmr, pls feel free to think of more games and suggest them- and try to ensure that everyone participates and doesn't run around and do their own thing (eg tong shuen...) Also, we'll be confirming arrangements for this sat's activities with the YOUNG kids (nursery and playgroup) tmr so we'll prob brief u all briefly tmr ok? thanks:P

Sports relays and games (9-12pm)


9-9.30am: Warm ups- Introduction in small groups
- Simon Says: Stand up, sit down, clap your hands, pat your head, touch your toes, turn around in a circle, jump up and down, go to sleep, wake up, freeze, unfreeze/ start moving, etc;

9.30-10am: Outdoor games
- What time is it Mr Wolf?
- Colour game (when we say a colour, everyone has to run and touch something of that colour)

10-10.15am: Break

10.15-11am: Outdoor games (break into 2-3 groups)
- Relay games- Balancing beanbags on their heads, passing hula hoops, complete a playground course


11-11.45pm: Cool down

- Drawing game (follow instructions to draw an interesting monster/ creature)
- Origami

Class CIP session 2

Hi everyone! Here's the exciting plan for our class CIP session 2 (about 10-12 of us):

Fri, 6 June, 9-12pm
Music and movement/ games with K1, K2 and a few Pri Sch children


9.05-9.50am: Ice-breakers/ warm-ups
-Break into groups, get to know each other, wear nametags
-Warm up songs, freeze game

9.50-10: Break?

10-11: Action songs/ dance
-Chicken dance
-Simple line dance
-Hokey pokey
-etc

11-12: More songs/dance/ games (cooling down)
-blah blah
-pass the parcel (any ideas for forfeits?)
-musical chairs?

12- 12.30 plus: LUNCH (:


Please help to make the session enjoyable for the kids- participate enthusiastically and help them if they are confused ok? And please remember SAFETY FIRST! SO even if the kids go wild we must remain calm and calm them down ok? HAHA :P Yay, thanks, see you on Friday!
